Consequently, men hold most leadership positions in the society while women are relegated to lower segments. In the current society, it is widely accepted for a woman to depend on the husband for financial support, but if the woman is the one backing the husband, it is considered that there is no romance in the relationship. In the modern society, the welfare of the women has changed dramatically from the traditional woman whose role was restricted to domestic work to virile and more assertive individuals. Today, women hold prestigious positions, including head of states, chief executives of large multinational companies, and successful business owners among other influential positions in the society. While compliancy and humility characterized the traditional woman, many of them nowadays are competitive and ri sk takers who know exactly what they want in a relationship.
